Offershop “Win Your First Month On Us” Competition Rules and Conditions

1. Promoter

1.1. The promoter of this promotional competition is Offernet.net (PTY) LTD, trading as Offershop.

1.2. The competition is conducted by Offershop to promote mobile contract applications submitted through the Offershop website and completed through the Offershop application and activation process.

1.3. This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Meta, any mobile network, device manufacturer, or any third-party platform, unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Competition period

2.1. The competition starts on 1 June 2026 and ends on 30 June 2026.

2.2. To qualify for entry, a participant must submit an Offershop application during the competition period.

2.3. The sale, approval, delivery and activation process may take place after the competition period, provided that the original Offershop application was submitted between 1 June 2026 and 30 June 2026.

2.4. The winners will be selected from qualifying participants whose applications have resulted in an activated mobile contract or subscription and where the activation has been reported to Offershop by the relevant network carrier, service provider, authorised partner, or reflected in Offershop’s records.

2.5. The draw will take place before the end of July 2026, or as soon as reasonably possible after Offershop has finalised the qualifying participant list.

2.6. Offershop reserves the right to move the draw date if reasonably required to finalise the qualifying participant list, verify the winners, complete the draw process, or comply with any legal, audit or operational requirement.

3. Who may enter

3.1. The competition is open to natural persons who:

  1. are South African residents;
    b. are 18 years or older;
    c. have a valid South African identity number;
    d. submit an Offershop application during the competition period;
    e. agree to the applicable Offershop terms and conditions;
    f. consent to the applicable credit, risk, verification and application checks required to process their application;
    g. consent to Offershop sharing their personal information with authorised partners for the purpose of processing their application; and
    h. become a qualifying participant as defined in these rules.

3.2. A participant will only be considered a qualifying participant once their application has resulted in an activated mobile contract or subscription and the activation has been reported to Offershop by the relevant network carrier, service provider, authorised partner, or reflected in Offershop’s records.

3.3. A lead submission, pre-approved application, sales call, provisional approval, pending order or delivery alone does not qualify a participant for the draw.

4. Automatic entry

4.1. Entry into the competition is automatic.

4.2. Participants do not need to complete a separate competition entry form.

4.3. Every participant who meets the qualifying requirements in these rules will automatically be entered into the draw.

4.4. There is no additional charge to enter the competition.

5. Qualifying application

5.1. For purposes of this competition, a qualifying application is an Offershop application that:

  1. was submitted during the competition period;
    b. was processed through Offershop or its authorised partners;
    c. resulted in an activated mobile contract or subscription; and
    d. has been reported to Offershop as activated by the relevant network carrier, service provider, authorised partner, or is reflected as activated in Offershop’s records.

5.2. Applications that do not result in an activated mobile contract or subscription will not qualify for the draw.

5.3. Offershop’s records, together with the records made available to Offershop by its network carriers, service providers, authorised partners or affiliates, will be used to determine whether an application qualifies.

5.4. Offershop’s decision on whether an application qualifies is final, subject to any rights that a participant may have under applicable law.

6. One entry per person

6.1. Only one entry is allowed per person.

6.2. Offershop will use the participant’s South African ID number to identify duplicate entries.

6.3. If a participant submits more than one application during the competition period, only one qualifying entry will be included in the draw.

6.4. If a participant activates more than one qualifying mobile contract or subscription, only one entry will be included in the draw.

6.5. A participant may only win once in this competition.

7. Exclusions

7.1. Employees, directors, agents, representatives, agencies, partners, affiliates, suppliers, service providers and any other parties directly involved in the competition, including their immediate family members or household members, may not enter or win.

7.2. Offershop may also exclude any person who submits false, incomplete, misleading, fraudulent or unauthorised information.

7.3. Any person who is legally prohibited from receiving the prize may not enter or win.

8. Prize

8.1. There will be 10 winners.

8.2. Each winner will receive a prize equal to the value of that winner’s first monthly subscription amount, limited to a maximum prize value of R600 per winner.

8.3. The prize for each winner will be calculated as the lower of:

  1. the monthly subscription amount of that winner’s activated mobile contract or subscription; or
    b. R600.

8.4. The maximum prize value per winner is R600.

8.5. The maximum total prize pool for the competition is R6,000, being 10 prizes each capped at R600.

8.6. The prize only covers the monthly subscription portion of the qualifying mobile contract or subscription.

8.7. The prize excludes:

  1. value-added services;
    b. airtime top-ups;
    c. data top-ups;
    d. insurance;
    e. device accessories;
    f. delivery fees;
    g. activation fees;
    h. SIM fees;
    i. once-off charges;
    j. admin fees;
    k. out-of-bundle usage;
    l. arrears;
    m. penalties;
    n. reconnection fees;
    o. cancellation charges; and
    p. any other cost that is not part of the normal recurring monthly subscription amount.

8.8. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, negotiable or substitutable.

8.9. The prize is not a discount on the winner’s mobile contract or subscription and does not reduce, replace or cancel the winner’s obligations to the relevant network, service provider, credit provider or contract provider.

9. Winner selection

9.1. After the competition period, Offershop will compile a list of qualifying participants.

9.2. The qualifying participant list will be based on applications submitted during the competition period that resulted in an activated mobile contract or subscription and were reported to Offershop as activated by the relevant network carrier, service provider, authorised partner, or reflected as activated in Offershop’s records.

9.3. Before the draw, Offershop will finalise and freeze the qualifying participant list.

9.4. The 10 winners will be selected by random draw from the final qualifying participant list.

9.5. Offershop may draw 10 provisional winners and one or more reserve winners during the same draw.

9.6. Reserve winners will only be used if a provisional winner cannot be contacted, cannot be verified, declines the prize, or is otherwise disqualified in terms of these rules.

9.7. If more than one provisional winner is disqualified, Offershop may use the reserve winners in the order in which they were drawn, or may conduct a further random draw from the final qualifying participant list.

9.8. The draw process may be overseen or certified by an independent person or professional adviser appointed by Offershop.

9.9. Offershop’s decision regarding qualifying applications, duplicate entries, winner selection, winner verification and prize calculation is final, subject to any rights that participants may have under applicable law.

10. Winner verification

10.1. The selected winners will initially be treated as provisional winners.

10.2. A provisional winner is not a final winner until Offershop has completed its verification process.

10.3. Offershop may verify each provisional winner’s identity against the information submitted during the application process.

10.4. Each provisional winner may be required to confirm their identity and provide banking details for prize payment.

10.5. The prize will only be paid into a South African bank account held in the winner’s own name.

10.6. If a provisional winner cannot be verified, does not provide the required information, refuses the prize, or is disqualified, Offershop may select or use a reserve winner.

11. Winner contact process

11.1. Offershop will contact each provisional winner directly using the contact details provided during the application process.

11.2. Offershop will make up to six contact attempts per provisional winner over a period of five working days during normal office hours.

11.3. Contact may be attempted by phone call, WhatsApp, SMS, email, or any other reasonable communication method.

11.4. If a provisional winner cannot be contacted after six attempts over five working days, Offershop may disqualify that provisional winner and select or use a reserve winner.

11.5. Offershop is not responsible if a participant provides incorrect, outdated or unreachable contact details.

12. Prize payment

12.1. Each prize will be paid in South African Rand.

12.2. Payment will be made by electronic funds transfer.

12.3. The prize will only be paid into a South African bank account held in the winner’s own name.

12.4. Offershop may refuse to pay the prize into a third-party bank account.

12.5. Each winner must provide accurate banking details.

12.6. Offershop is not responsible for failed, delayed or incorrect payment where a winner provides incorrect banking details.

12.7. Each prize will be paid within a reasonable period after the applicable final winner has been verified and confirmed.

13. Public announcement and marketing participation

13.1. The winners will be announced publicly.

13.2. The public announcement may be made on the Offershop website, Offershop social media pages, email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other Offershop marketing channels.

13.3. Offershop may announce each winner using limited information, such as the winner’s first name, surname initial, province, city or general location.

13.4. Offershop will not publish any winner’s South African ID number, full contact details, banking details, contract number or other sensitive personal information.

13.5. Offershop may invite any winner to participate in a recorded WhatsApp video call, photograph, interview, handover video, testimonial, social media post or other marketing activity.

13.6. Participation in any marketing activity is voluntary.

13.7. Each winner has the right to decline the use of their image, name, voice, likeness, video, testimonial or personal information in marketing material.

13.8. Declining to participate in a recorded video call, social media content or marketing activity will not affect a winner’s right to receive the prize.

13.9. If a winner agrees to participate in marketing activity, Offershop may request separate written, electronic or recorded consent.

14. Personal information

14.1. By submitting an Offershop application, participants acknowledge that their personal information will be processed in accordance with Offershop’s terms and conditions and privacy policy.

14.2. Participants are required to agree to Offershop’s standard application consent before submitting an application, including consent to credit checks and the sharing of personal information with authorised partners for the purpose of processing the application.

14.3. For purposes of this competition, Offershop may process participant information to:

  1. identify qualifying participants;
    b. remove duplicate entries;
    c. verify eligibility;
    d. conduct the draw;
    e. contact provisional winners;
    f. verify final winners;
    g. pay the prizes;
    h. announce the winners; and
    i. keep records required for legal, audit and competition administration purposes.

14.4. Offershop’s privacy policy is available on the Offershop website.

15. Disqualification

15.1. Offershop may disqualify any participant who:

  1. does not meet the qualifying requirements;
    b. submits false, incomplete, incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information;
    c. uses another person’s identity or contact details without permission;
    d. attempts to manipulate the competition;
    e. attempts to submit multiple entries in breach of these rules;
    f. colludes with any person involved in the administration, processing or fulfilment of the competition;
    g. breaches these competition rules; or
    h. acts unlawfully, dishonestly or in bad faith.

15.2. Offershop may withhold any prize while investigating suspected fraud, abuse or ineligibility.

15.3. If a winner is disqualified after being selected but before prize payment, Offershop may select or use a reserve winner.

16. Changes, suspension or cancellation

16.1. Offershop reserves the right to amend, postpone, suspend or cancel the competition if required by law, regulation, platform rule, technical failure, fraud risk, operational issue, partner issue, or any event beyond Offershop’s reasonable control.

16.2. Offershop will not make changes that unfairly prejudice participants who have already qualified, unless required by law or necessary to protect the integrity of the competition.

17. Liability

17.1. Offershop is not responsible for:

  1. failed, delayed, incomplete, duplicated or corrupted applications;
    b. incorrect information submitted by participants;
    c. network, website, system, call centre, delivery, billing or partner failures outside Offershop’s reasonable control;
    d. delays in approval, delivery, activation or reporting of activations;
    e. failed contact attempts where the participant provided incorrect or unreachable contact details; or
    f. loss caused by incorrect banking details supplied by a winner.

17.2. Nothing in these rules limits any rights that a participant may have under applicable law.

18. Competition records

18.1. Offershop will keep records of the competition as required by applicable law.

18.2. These records may include:

  1. the competition rules;
    b. marketing material;
    c. the qualifying participant list;
    d. the draw process;
    e. winner verification records;
    f. prize payment records;
    g. public announcement records; and
    h. any records required for audit, legal or compliance purposes.
